This year for Also known as Africa AKAA 2021, Galerie Véronique Rieffel presents an exhibition entitled Portraits de femmes with Johanna MIRABEL, Hélène JAYET, Olga YAMEOGO, Anico MOSTERT.

Through the representations of women, these artists reveal the complexity of their personal stories, their sensitivity and their strength. Their view is unique and yet when it is transposed into their works, it becomes universal. Based on their experiences, the artists question in their own way our relationship to others and to our history as well as the definition of the gender today.
